Hear two new works for the choir

The choir performed specially-commissioned settings of ‘O salutaris hostia’ and ‘Tantum ergo’ by Ottawa composer Gilles Leclerc at the Evensong service on November 16. These settings were written to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of St. Barnabas Parish.

A native of Ottawa, Mr Leclerc studied organ with Gerald Bales and Patricia Wright and composition with Steven Gellman at the University of Ottawa, where he also completed a Masters degree in Musicology. He has won various awards for his compositions, several of which are published by Éditions LAUDEM and Éditions Lucarel.
